Don't Panic

I wanted to utilize my skill as a designer. From the four corners of my screen to the four corners of a poster, I created an abstract series to spread awareness about the stories of the refugees. I incorporated traditional Syrian patterns, mosaics, geometry, calligraphy, and sculptures. This work inspired Four Corners, a charity project intended to inspire the design community to contribute. Whether it be donating food and medical supplies, or art materials to fuel the kids’ creativity; every little contribution in our eyes was largely magnified when they reached the refugees.

You can read about my trip to the refugee camps here, LPM.

Passing a luxurious Mercedes dealership in Thessaloniki, Greece, lies a tent city; a refugee camp to several Syrian families. As soon as you step out of the car, the sun rays sweep over your face and, for a second, you forget why you’re here.
